The foundation stone of SVKM’s NMIMS Chandigarh was laid on 12 October 2009 by His Excellency Gen. (Retd.) S. F. Rodrigues, PVSM, VSM, then Governor of Punjab and Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh, in the distinguished presence of the leadership of the SVKM Trust and the University’s senior officials. The campus became academically operational in 2021 and has since emerged as a dynamic centre for quality higher education in North India.

Today, the campus houses three flagship schools under the NMIMS umbrella:

• School of Technology Management & Engineering (STME) – B.Tech in Computer Engineering and B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science)
• School of Law (SOL) – BA LL.B. (Hons.) and BBA LL.B. (Hons.)
• School of Commerce (SOC) – BBA and B.Com
